Lawn care

Lawn mowing in Billings, every week or every other week

Trimming comes with every mow, so the grass along the fence and around the trees gets cut too.

Every visit

What's included

I don't sell mowing and trimming separately. A lawn that's been mowed but is still shaggy along the fence doesn't look finished, so I do both every time I come.

  • Mowing at the right height for the time of year
  • Trimming along fences and around trees, beds, and the mailbox
  • Blowing clippings off the driveway and sidewalk
  • Closing the gate behind me

How often

How often should I come?

Weekly

Good for spring and early summer, when the grass grows fastest

The grass never gets too long between visits, and cutting a little at a time is better for the lawn.

Every other week

Works well for smaller yards or slower growth

A lot of people switch to this later in the summer once things slow down. If you aren't sure which one you need, I can help you figure it out when I come look at the yard.

Add-on

Edging is priced separately

Edging cuts a clean line where the lawn meets the sidewalk and driveway. It makes a big difference in how a yard looks from the street.

Not everyone wants it, so I price it on its own. Some customers have it done every visit, and others only every few weeks.

Questions

Common questions

Do I need to be home when you come?

No. As long as I can get into the yard, I'll take care of it and let you know when I'm done. If your dog is usually out back, tell me and I'll work around it.

What happens if it rains on my day?

If the grass is too wet to cut cleanly, I'll move you to the next dry day and let you know. Mowing soaked grass tears it up, so it's worth waiting a day.

When does mowing season start and end?

Usually from late April or early May into October, depending on the weather that year. I start once the grass is growing and stop when it quits.

Do you bag the clippings?

Most of the time I mulch them back into the lawn, which is good for the grass. If you'd like them bagged, tell me and I'll include that in your quote.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. You can stop service whenever you want.

What parts of Billings do you mow?

I mow all over Billings, including the West End, the Heights, and the South Side, and out in Lockwood too. If you're a little farther out, ask and I'll let you know if I can get to you.
